Shelterbox Challenges

During the year we hold a variety of Shelterbox Challenges in schools, with youth and community groups, and with businesses.  The funds raised go towards a numbered Shelterbox which is then tracked as to where is used to aid others less fortunate than ourselves.  If you would like to join in a challenge, or lead your own, and have a box named after your group, then please contact us for further information.

Shelterbox provides emergency shelter and lifesaving supplies for families around the world who are affected by disasters, at a time when they need it most.  Each large, green ShelterBox is tailored to a disaster but typically contains a relief tent for an extended family, blankets, groundsheets, water storage and filtration equipment, cooking utensils, a basic tool kit, a children’s activity pack and other vital items.

Rotary is an international organisation and Shelterbox is the first Project Partner for the organisation. We’d like Aylesbury to be known as a community that supports disasters. Current deployments of boxes include Lebanon (conflict), Philippines (typhoon), Syria (conflict), Solomon Islands (earthquake). More info at
