Stroke Awareness event in Aylesbury

All over the UK, Rotary Clubs are holding days in town centres and shopping malls where we provide a free service to test blood pressure.  Having a stroke is devastating to everyone involved. High blood pressure as one of the main causes.

On Saturday, 17th May, we ran an event in Hale Leys shopping centre.  We tested 177 people of whom 31 were referred to the GP as their blood pressure was worrying. One person was sent immediately to hospital and their blood pressure was so high and they had other worrying symptoms.

A number of non-Rotarians friends and family helped us and we are always grateful for the support.
