Rotary thanks youngsters for their support for the Carol Float

Dr Sarah Fraser (President), Faith Probitts, Sam Foster

The Rotary motto is "Service above Self" and, as Faith Probitts and Sam Foster demonstrated, this is applies to  anyone, at any age. Faith's grandfather is a Rotarian and she has already helped the Rotary Club raise charitable funds for the last three years. She has helped on the Carol Float as well as at the County Show.  Sam knew about the Carol Float as it passed his house each year. He contacted the club offering to help. His Dad, Dave, supervised Sam, and a number of other youngsters, all of whom gave of their time to raise money - and on one particular night got very wet!

Both Faith and Sam received certificates of appreciation from the Club at our annual dinner where we hand out cheques to local charities.  So they also got to see where the money they helped collect ends up.
